Jaicom statement regarding COVID-19 (Corona virus)

Jaicom is extremely conscious of the impact of the current COVID-19 health scare and its potential impact on our staff and our customers. Currently, the situation is not having any direct impact on our services to customers. However, we are monitoring the updates and advice from local health organization in order to minimize any potential impact in the near future.

In the event of a local outbreak, Jaicom has a contingency plan in place in order to limit the spread of the infection. All units have performed risk assessments and identified critical functions. Also, we have ensured that the company’s IT infrastructure is equipped to enable staff to work remotely.

All our systems are fully operational when working remotely and our staff has access to databases and emails through secure VPN channels even when working from home. We will ensure that our operations continue as smoothly as possible.

Jaicom will:
• Allow its employees to work remotely to avoid spread of the virus
• Allow its employees to work remotely if someone in their family is sick

Jaicom has already:
• Banned any work travel including customer meetings. In order to communicate with customers, we operate with Teams, email and telephone.
• Advised its employees to check themselves for symptoms of acute respiratory illness and notify their supervisor and stay home if they are sick.
• Advised employees not to travel abroad on their spare time. And if one does, employee is banned to visit Jaicom office after the travel and must work remotely for 14 days.
